Jackie speaking about the success of Crush and how midlife workouts change the perspective of how and why we are doing the work.

Last night, Crush Fitness Studios was filled with an incredible group of women — each one bringing their unique energy and stories. But as I stood in front of the crowd, sharing insights and guiding the conversation, I realized something profound: Fitness is so much more than the number of calories burned or the size of our clothes. It’s about connection, support, and self-acceptance.

The Power of Community Over Calories

We live in a world that constantly tells us to measure our worth in numbers — pounds on a scale, inches around our waist, or the time we can spend on a treadmill. But at Crush Fitness, we believe in something far more powerful. We believe in feeling strong, feeling seen, and feeling supported.

When you walk into our studio, you’re not just walking into another gym. You’re stepping into a space where you are celebrated for who you are — a space where we leave judgment at the door and focus on what truly matters: feeling good in our bodies.

Letting Go of Perfection in Midlife

As I shared with the women last night, I’ve spent years in the fitness industry, and I’ve seen firsthand the damage of chasing perfection. The endless obsession with numbers and unrealistic standards can rob us of the joy that movement is meant to bring.

But when we let go of that need to be perfect — when we show up, move, breathe, and sweat without judgment — that’s where real transformation happens. It’s not about how many reps you can do or how fast you can run. It’s about connecting with your body, honoring your energy, and showing up for yourself.

Your Body Is Your Home, Especially in Midlife

At Crush Fitness, our mission is to help you build a strong, healthy, and empowered life — especially in midlife, when our bodies are evolving and our priorities are shifting. But it all starts with how you see yourself. Your body is your home — the one place you get to live for the rest of your life. So rather than punishing it, celebrate it. Rather than criticizing it, nourish it.

Fitness isn’t just about looking a certain way. It’s about feeling a certain way — strong, confident, and free.

What’s Next for You?

If you missed last night’s event, don’t worry — there will be more opportunities to connect, learn, and grow. In the meantime, I want to challenge you:

  • Move in a way that feels good, not just because you think you have to.

  • Speak kindly to yourself. Your body is always listening.

  • Find a community that lifts you up — a place where you can be your authentic self.

At Crush Fitness, that’s what we’re all about. And we can’t wait to continue this journey with you.
